Watch this 2-minute video to see how Marathon Club Hub will train your body for a spring 2027 marathon finish you'll never forget

You got your treasured marathon place, and in the space of about 30 seconds you went from

Completely elated to quietly terrified!

The reality is starting to sink in.

26.2 miles. April 2027.

And the advice coming at you from all sides — start training now, download this plan, just get the miles in, or 'just chill' you don't need to to anything until December — is conflicting and overwhelming for a woman with busy life, and a marathon that genuinely matters to her.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

You've been running for years. You know you can do it.

But something has changed.

You're running slower than you used to — a minute per mile slower, maybe more. Your race times have nosedived by 10 minutes or more, and you can't figure out why.

You've tried running more miles. You've downloaded plans. You've tried the new training apps — and ended up exhausted, nursing a niggle, and wondering if your best running days are behind you.

Nobody seems to have an answer that actually makes sense for your body right now.

The training plans online? They're written for a 30-year-old man. Running apps? Same story. Great technology. Wrong physiology.

And now, with a marathon coming up, a quiet fear is growing: What if I train hard, make it to the start line — and fall apart at mile 18?

What nobody is telling you is it's not that you've lost your running ability or that you're too old.

It's that the training approach you're following was never designed for what's actually happening in your 40+ body.

And once you understand that — everything changes.

A traditional marathon training approach

More miles, more runs, push harder

Works against a midlife body

Here’s why:

As you move through your 40s and into perimenopause and menopause, your oestrogen levels fluctuate and decline. Oestrogen plays a critical role in muscle repair, collagen production, energy metabolism, and your ability to recover from hard training. This is why the training that worked brilliantly at 35 now leaves you exhausted, injured, or stuck at the same pace.

It's not age. It's not lack of effort.

It's biology — and once you train with it, rather than against it, your body responds in ways that will genuinely surprise you.

INTRODUCING:

MARATHON CLUB HUB

The only marathon training programme designed for what's actually happening in your 40+ body — not a 30-year-old man's.

Marathon Club Hub is a 6-month guided training programme that uses The Marathon Momentum Method™ — a science-backed approach that combines five specific elements: Speed, Strength, Fuelling, Repair, and Race Mastery — all calibrated to work with your hormonal reality, not against it.

The result? Faster race times. Stronger runs. A body that actually responds to training again. And a marathon finish line you cross running strong, not just surviving.

I'M HELEN, AND I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW

I was a lazy kid. Zero interest in sport. Avoided running at all costs.

Then, in my 20s, something clicked. I fell in love with running. With fitness. With what my body could actually do.

I ran my first marathon in my mid-40s — and I struggled. Because I did what everyone does. I found a generic training plan, followed it blindly, and hoped for the best.

It was only when I started learning about the right types of running, building real strength, understanding nutrition and developing a proper race strategy that everything changed. Before I was struck down by osteoarthritis in 2023 (leading to a hip replacement in 2024), I was running marathons in a London Good for Age time. Competitive hard-earned times.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I also started experiencing what you're experiencing now — a body that wasn't responding to training the way it used to. Because of menopause.

So I went deep into the science. I studied what menopause actually does to your running, your recovery, your energy, and your strength. And I rebuilt my entire training approach around that science.

For the past 8 years, I've been coaching women over 40 to run marathons. Over 700 women have now crossed finish lines with Marathon Club Hub. Many of them told me, before they joined, that they weren't sure their body could do it anymore.

They were wrong. And I'd love to prove the same thing to you.

HEAR FROM WOMEN JUST LIKE YOU

Debi, Sydney Marathon Runner

Turning 50, I felt I had passed my running peak. I didn’t think my legs could manage running a marathon, as I was always tired and sore after a race.

Joining Marathon Club Hub was a game changer.

I can now run long distances without the burden on my legs that had previously limited my goals.

Training this way I’ve realised that getting older doesn’t mean you have to give up on your dreams and that you can be fitter than your younger self!

Fiona, London Marathon Runner

When I got my place, my running consisted of the occasional 10k and running with friends to catch up on gossip. When I got my marathon place I just turned 50, had clear signs of impending menopause, crunching knees and a serious lack of spare time.

All the plans online looked super-intense. How could I possibly fit that into an already busy life?

Apart from the training plan itself, the best thing about Marathon Club Hub was the education. Turns out there is a lot to know about running a marathon if you want to do it properly and have a good experience.

Jane, London Marathon Runner

When I started running I entered a few 10ks and halves but never thought I could run a marathon, I didn’t think I had it in me.

By slowing down my training runs to run at an ‘easy’ pace I’ve got faster in my competitive runs, getting PBs this year at parkrun, 10k and half marathon distances, and I’m the fittest I’ve ever been!

After running London Marathon I know that I can do whatever I put my mind to in all aspects of life.

THE MARATHON MOMENTUM METHOD™

Why everything you've been told about marathon training is probably making things worse!

Most marathon training plans do one thing: tell you to run more miles.

More miles means more stress on a body that's already under hormonal pressure. More stress means more cortisol. More cortisol means slower recovery, higher injury risk, disrupted sleep, and — ironically — slower running.

The Marathon Momentum Method™ is different. Instead of piling on the miles, it focuses on 5 specific elements that work together to make you a stronger, faster, more resilient midlife runner:

⚡ Speed — The right types of running workouts that actually improve your pace (most women are unknowingly doing this all wrong)

💪 Strength — The conditioning work that builds a body capable of handling marathon training and going the distance without breaking down

🥗 Fuelling — The nutrition strategy that gives you the energy to train, the recovery to improve, and the race-day fuel plan to avoid the wall

🛌 Repair — The sleep, stress management and active recovery techniques that are the secret weapon of every successful midlife marathoner

🏁 Race Mastery — The pacing, fuelling and mind-management strategies that keep you running strong when your legs want to stop

YOUR 6-MONTH JOURNEY — STAGE BY STAGE

Pre-Training: The Strong Start Foundation

(5 Weeks — Starting November)

Before full marathon training begins, we make sure your body, mind and lifestyle are ready for it. You'll build your running base, master the different types of training run, and build the strength and resilience that'll protect you from injury when the real work starts.

By the end of this stage: You'll be confident, strong, and ready to step things up.

Stage 1: The Base Resilience Builder

(8 Weeks - Starting December)

Time to build the foundation that'll carry you through months of increasing mileage. We work on strength in your body and your running, dial in your nutrition so you have the energy to train and recover, and get you ready to run 13+ miles in a long run and/or a strong half marathon race.

By the end of this stage: Your body is strong, your diet supports your training, and your long runs are getting longer.

Stage 2: Progress to Peak Performance

(5–8 Weeks - From February)

This is where your marathon fitness is built. Long runs get serious. Fuelling strategies are tested and perfected. Mind-management tools are practised on the road. Your body is being shaped into one that can run 26.2 miles.

By the end of this stage: You're ready for the marathon. All of it.

Stage 3: Race Day Ready

(3 Weeks — Taper to Your Race)

Your body needs to rest, recover and sharpen before the big day. This stage — often called taper — is where you let the training land. You'll arrive at your start line rested, focused, and ready to run your absolute best.

By the end of this stage: You're ready. And you know it!

Stage 4: The Recovery Roadmap

(4 Weeks Post-Race)

Running a marathon takes a real toll on your body. This final stage guides you through a structured recovery so you're back to feeling great — not wrecked — within weeks of your race.

By the end of this stage: Your body is recovered, your love of running is renewed, and you're already wondering what's next.

MORE FROM OUR MARATHON CLUB HUB RUNNERS

Claire, London Marathon Runner

Before I joined Marathon Club Hub, I’d been running for about 8 years, but knew I wasn’t doing the right types of running to improve, or to run further than 13 miles. I was just plodding around running the same speed, run after run.

Since joining Marathon Club Hub I can run faster and for longer. I also understand the different types of training run and why they are so important.

Fiona, London Marathon Runner

Before I joined Marathon Club Hub I just went out and ran. I thought if I completed all the running in a plan, I could get round the race. But even with all the running I was doing I always struggled to finish a race. So I wasn’t sure I’d be able to complete a marathon.

What I’ve learned is that running is only part of training. Including conditioning, stretching, improving my diet and understanding the different runs have transformed my running.

Training this way, I can run furtherer than ever before and completed my first marathon without thinking “why am I doing this?” and I even enjoyed it!

Julie, London Marathon Runner

I wanted to run a marathon to celebrate my 60th year, but needed guidance, advice and support to do it.

Helen, you speak our language irrespective of where we are on our running and marathon training journey. This means so much.

Last year, before I joined Marathon Club Hub I’d fallen out of love with running, but have now found it again, plus some!

I'm not running London — I'm running a spring marathon in May. Can I join?

Absolutely. Bonus #4 — The Race-Ready Rapid Track — gives you a personalised adaptation guide so the programme fits your exact race date, whether that's March, April or May.

I'm worried I'll get injured if I push harder in training.

What if my body just doesn't respond? I've tried so many things.

That's the Marathon Momentum Method guarantee. Follow the programme for 5 weeks, show me your before and after 5K time — and if you're not running faster and feeling stronger, I'll refund you in full so you can explore other avenues for your marathon training.

I've never run a marathon before. Is this right for me?

If you're a runner with a marathon place for spring 2027, this programme was made for you. You don't need marathon experience — you need the right training approach for your body.
