Let me take you back to how I started

I was a lazy kid. My brother called me Porky and I was very good at getting out of "games" at school.

But when I went to my first exercise class I was hooked. I started to use weights and run on a treadmill. One day I plucked up courage to enter a 10k then a Half Marathon. I was a runner!

Then Work Took Over!

And when I work, I work serious, long and hard. I was a nomad, working a away from home for long periods of time, eating out and drinking to fuel my life on the road.

Fast forward a few years, to when I finally committed to a new lifestyle

By 2012 I was working all hours of the day, travelling and working away from home. Cheese and wine were my crutches, to get through my workweek and through and out the other side of a bad relationship.

Porky was back … And this time she was super sized!

Something had to be done 🤔

I had to get a grip. Health, fitness and my diet became my priorities.

I turned my life around, adopted a healthy diet and started exercising seriously again

Gradually my fitness improved

Excess weight dropped off ... all without weighing foods, counting calories or attending weight-loss meetings

Since then, and turning 50, I’ve PB-ed with a few sub 4 hour Marathons, as well as at Half, 10k and 5k, I’m stronger, fitter and faster than ever.

If Porky can do this so can you!


So if adopting a sensible balanced healthy diet is so great for running, why isn’t EVERYONE doing it?

Funny that! But the reason is because …
